Speed of Light
- Speed of light is used to measure the distance from the stars.
- A light-year is a unit of length/distance.
- If you look up at the stars at night and you see it glowing, the star could be burnt out.
- Since it's so far away you can't tell, to your eyes, the star is still emitting light and isn't burnt out like a lightbulb.
- It is the distance that light can travel in one year.
- One light-year is equal to 9,500,000,000,000 kilometers.
- The speed of light is the rate at which light travels at.
