Opaque Materials with Light
- A material that reflects or absorbs all of the light that strikes it is called an opaque material.
- You can't see through opaque materials.
- Light doesn't pass through them.
- In winter on windows the opaque part is the wood or snow part of the window.
- Metals and tightly woven fabric, are other examples of opaque materials.
- The color of an opaque object is the color of the light it reflects.
- Every opaque object absorbs some wavelengths of light and reflects other wavelengths of light.
- The blue cup is the opaque material.
